Bruce Crask
Bruce began playing electric bass at age 13. Self-taught, with no formal lessons, but had been playing trumpet in the school band since 4th grade. At the age of 19, while majoring in music, he began performing throughout the U.S. in a touring college band.
Following college, Bruce spent two years with a St. Louis-based bluegrass band, performing 4-5 nights a week. He then moved west and continued performing and recording various genres of music for the next 6 years with touring bands and recording artists at casinos, hotels and clubs throughout western U.S. and Canada. He returned to Missouri and has continued performing regularly for many more years with various groups and recording artists.
In recent years, he has been playing regularly at church, teaching private bass lessons, and working with guitarist Bill Clark on some fusion / blues studio projects. In the fall of 2014 Bill and Bruce teamed up with drummer Herrie Pullom to form the Bill Clark Trio. Their new album titled Promised Land was released in August of 2015.
